Cats and dogs are subject to special regulations (EC) No. 998/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council (see Terms & Definitions).

Pets may enter as passengers checked baggage or as cargo.

Birds as pets: Import of birds requires an Import License, to be obtained from the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
