At Terminal 3, there is a designated relief/green area outside near the arrivals level / Kiss & Fly areas (outside Door 2 / Door A). At Terminal 1, service animal / pet relief options exist outside the lower arrivals level (near Door 1A / curbside greenery). Note: The UAE strictly regulates live animals inside airport departures halls. Animals flying out of DXB generally must travel in an IATA-approved carrier, or as manifested cargo managed through dedicated cargo facilities.

Instructions: Keep the Pet Leashed/Contained: Keep your pet inside their carrier or securely on a harness/leash until instructed by security personnel. Carrier X-Ray Inspection: Place the empty carrier, leash, harness, and any pet accessories onto the conveyor belt to pass through the X-ray machine. Never place an animal into the X-ray machine. Physical Screening of the Animal: Carry or walk your pet on a leash through the walk-through metal detector / security scanner alongside you. Security officers may conduct a quick manual visual inspection or swab your hands for explosives trace detection (ETD) after you handle the pet. Return Pet to Carrier: Immediately place your pet back inside the carrier or secure harness before collecting your remaining personal belongings.
Tip: Using a lightweight harness and leash prevents a frightened pet from running away in the terminal.
Location: Facility: dnata Animal Care Centre / Emirates SkyCargo Centre Location: Located within the Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA) near Freight Gate 5 (Cargo Mega Terminal / Air Cargo Village Area). Access: Accessible via Airport Road (D89) or E11, following signs for Dubai Airport Cargo Village / Freight Gates. Procedure: All live animal cargo shipments (drops and collections) are processed directly at this specialized facility rather than the main passenger terminals.
Details: Follow airport signage to the designated airline cargo facilities for manifest drop-off and pickup procedures.
Location: Availability: Extremely Limited / Service-Animal Focused. Post-Security Status at DXB: Dubai International Airport generally does not feature dedicated, open-access indoor dog parks or turf pet relief stations inside the passenger airside concourses (Concourse A, B, C, or D) for general pets. Handling Assistance: If you are traveling with a certified service animal post-security, contact the Airport Passenger Assistance / Ground Handling Team (dnata or Emirates) upon passing security. Airport staff will assist with accessing designated service-animal relief locations or escorting you to an accessible designated zone.
Access: Available near gate areas for travelers with connecting or departing flights after security screening.
